I do my b-roll first then build my script around the content that I have but I always have an idea of what I want to say prior to shooting. For me it’s easier to come up with the script after I have the video I know I’m working with.

You’re not kidding. Some of these be roll briefs make it sound so easy until you actually go to execute. I script first though.

That’s so interesting I never even thought of doing the voiceover before adding the b-roll, I always put the video together first because I’m super OCD about it lol.

I do script first overall. There are b-roll clips that I get in general for just about every product I do so I will go ahead and get those, but I always make sure that I go over my script and have b- roll associated for every line. There is nothing worse…Well there is but… It is awful when I know that I have filmed so much b-roll and then I go to lay it over a certain part of my video and realize that I have no clips that actually align with what I was saying.

I record all of my narratives first . Or if I’m adding talking head I film those . So I have the story laid down on cap cut! It helps me a lot!! Then add my pics , captions , sounds , music . It’s a lot to do for sure !!
