When my therapist first brought up termination I was so scared to stop having sessions that we continued treatment. All of a sudden a few months later, I felt ready, and we both cried at my last session. I keep in touch with her and remain grateful for her help through some of the toughest years and buried memories (EMDR) she helped me work through

I was so scared to tell my therapist I wanted to go a different route and she was so supportive and happy for me and even told me she was starting to see the I was ready for a different modality. She was genuinely a blessing and I always think of her and wish her well

i’ve seen my therapist for about 6-7 years now and i kinda wanna break up with her. lately she will be texting during my session (we meet remote) and i can see her looking down at her phone. i feel like maybe she’s too used to me now and im just not getting any breakthroughs anymore.

ive been ghosted by one therapist and another I messaged saying I couldn't afford it without insurance reimbursement anymore sadly but thanked her for all her help and was very respectful, she didnt respond at all and just cut my portal access 💀

I love termination sessions, that's what's so bomb about working in inpatient!! After 8 sessions we know we're ending and we get to be so excited together about all the progress they've made and everything they are excited and scared for in the future.

I had that session but it was two-fold. She was going on maternity leave and I wanted to try emdr. We still check in with each other and hopefully we can work together again soon 💜
