Anatolian shepherd is the BEST dog breed you can get. Especially if your husband goes out of town. I’ve had mine for 12 years and he is the sweetest boy. I feel so safe when him. People are scared of him which is nice bc I never have to worry about people that make me feel uncomfortable getting close to me. But he’s so good with people that have a good vibe

hey I just wanted to give a heads up. I grew up with a great Pyrenees. Don’t get me wrong such an adorable dog and we all loved him but when I tell you he was an escape artist he really was he would jump out of cars escape the house constantly no matter how tall our fences were. He would scratch doors destroy shoes. Would not get this breed if you are not educated on them!

Anatolians are AMAZING dogs. Ive had both and they’re so good. Pyr/anatolian mixes are super common and incredible livestock dogs.

I have two Great Pyrenees girls and we do not have a farm. However we have a large yard. Honestly they’re the most amazing dogs, and our girls are very lazy lol they sleep a lot and just chill out! They are free to run in our large yard and they do, but they’re so cuddly and loving they love to be around you!

We have an Anatolian shepherd mix and he is so amazing! You do just have to take their natural protective and guarding instincts into account when training and socializing them. They can be prone to resource guarding and dog aggression if they aren’t properly socialized

I never had a dog before and when I got a lab puppy I had no idea how hard the first few months were going to be 😅 I love her and everything is great now but I always warn people who have never had dogs before that it’s tougher than I imagined lol

I would not buy a dog from facebook marketplace especially not a live stock guardian dog. I would either adopt or shop from an ethical breeder. Guardian dogs really need a stable temperament and for them specifically I'd recommend an ethical breeder. A poorly bred guardian dog is often very prone to aggression
