it's almost like you have to become friends with your grief. listen when she's upset, hold on to her and remind her you love her. she will protect those precious memories and that love you have. your grief isn't the enemy she is the one keeping them alive in you. when she comes around she is reminding you of them. don't be afraid and don't push her away. She is made out of pure love.

Sept. 27 will be 6 yrs My son Ron was murdered. I have not accepted it, I cry in silence. I go to work. Live my life but I’m always sad n missing him, no one sees this thru the fake smiles n laughs. But I am not ok.

It's been 8 months since we lost our son. Some days are okay and some are like it just happened. I keep replaying the morning over and over in my head. It NEVER goes away. We just learn to carry on. I do take so much comfort knowing he is with Jesus living pain free.

Baby it is day by day.. just remember it’s ok not to be ok. Our hearts are broken and there is nothing that can fix that. We glide through life as a broken human. Cry let it out. I definitely don’t think you ever accept it. You just learn how to survive. It’s important to be in survivor mode, especially if you have other children. They already lost a sibling. They can’t lose their mom too. It’s a club. We never wanted to be in.

I don’t think I’ve ever accepted my son’s death. I think I’m numb. It’s been 11 years and I still can’t accept he’s not coming home. I will say I pray to God a lot that he’s got my son and I’ll see him again
