It’s kind of telling of the peoples intelligence. Their inability to think critically about things worries me.

Veterinarian here! #vethate is so real too. It’s hard out here because everyone thinks we are in it for money and also paid by big pharma. 😂

I don’t think it’s a genuine hate but rather a lack of trust and it’s not all doctors. People on both sides of the fence are exhausted. You guys are exhausted on the treating side and all the walls you hit in trying to help them but patients are also sick of being shoved around from one practice to another with no answers.

We don’t hate physicians, we hate the hmo’s that control what tests, procedures, meds, labs they can order. Some physicians will still order these tests bc they care the others are more concerned with themselves than patients and shouldn’t be practicing when they put greed above patient care.

People hate doctors bc they hate their healthcare and their doctors are the only people they see… don’t take it personal, keep being part of the solution

I think it’s a specific subset of ppl who hate doctors. Big pharma? Uhhhhhh big wellness is a far bigger, unregulated beast.

Stop doing paperwork for patients. Make them pay for the prior auth.

So many professions charge astronomical amount of $ for their services but all the hate goes to the physicians. If people would stop and think the sheer amount of education, student debt and liability in this profession alone warrants respect.

Whether it is "deserved" or "rational," it might be because people who need Healthcare, view the services that physicians provide as more necessary than say, getting a haircut. And yet, we have to stop our world to see a physician where conversely, if you want to see your hairstylist, they most often make their available hours work outside of the traditional working person's schedule.
It would be easier to trust that physicians get into Healthcare because they want to help people if their availability reflected that.
Yes, there are MANY providers who are on call 24/7. And those are the people that I think most people think it makes sense cost as much money to become, and cost as much money when you need them, as they do.
Most general practitioners still make good money. And it should probably cost them less to get to that position based on their availability and ability to help people. AND they are also dealing with a LOAD of bs hoops that third party payors and insurance companies make them work with. AND that is why so many providors that do want to be able to practice the way they want to practice are moving to a system where they don't bill insurance.
AND I still have to see my regular GP in addition to the NP who does hormone therapy, and the DO gynecologist that finally helped me, so that I can get all the treatments I want and/or need.
Nuance.
