Other Videos

This is one of those videos I took to document the entire amputation process. I haven’t been able to watch these videos back because of how hard it is, but tonight I decided to. This was the first video I watched, thinking it would be the easiest to stomach. I was very wrong. I couldn’t actually watch any of the others, but I’m going to start trying to get all of these videos out. The whole purpose was to help people understand the gravity and what that situation kind of felt like, and also for those who are considering amputation to know what that’s like, and help them prepare, because I felt I needed that. Expect more of these mixed into the normal things I post. This car ride, I actually had two playlists made… one called “Amputation,” which was a sad amputation playlist, and one called “Amped for Amputation.” The point of this playlist was to get me out of my feelings and instead hopefully help me feel somewhat normal. I used these for months leading up to the amputation, just depending on what I needed. This drive was awful, though. It seemed so, so long, and pulling in was surreal. I had had so many surgeries before and so many diagnostic tests in that same area, but pulling into that area knowing what was about to happen, and really having to grapple with the reality of my life, was beyond surreal. I know that, along with my family, God was right there with me, supporting me and helping me follow through and stay strong during this terribly hard time of my life. Love you guys. Thanks for reading if you made it this far, it really means so much🩷🩷🩷 #surgery #amputation #crushinjury #heartbreaking #injury #recovery #disabled #electiveamputation #amputee #wheelchair #crutches #sad #crying #support #belowkneeamputee #adaptive #limblosss #hospital #sensitive #newvideo #handicapped #Love #happiness #peace #strong #inspire #limbdifference #follow #post #awareness
