sono mar :
i have a question, i’m currently living in a dwindling hunter-gatherer society. by a young age, everyone is capable at the least of survival, and seemingly everyone is creative whether it be beading, arrow carving, wood carving, braiding flora into shelter, song creation, dancing, etc. they have a sharing economy and there is no money. in our small camp all but one man ab*ses his wife, it’s cultural and understood as normal. simultaneously the women share a solidarity through it, and stand up physically for each other often. in part because of the small population, harmful men are not banished and the women in danger do not leave the men. even more generally, it’s as if any grievances are forgotten in minutes to an hour depending on severity of injury. i’m curious your perception on this ? i’ve shifted into a makeshift nurse/converted a space for refuge, and i overhear the women say things need to change, but everyone seems* unsure how to proceed 🫶🏼
