It's called Climate change and has been going on for as long as the earth has been here.There have been 5 ice ages and at the end of each ice age there is a dramatic spike in temperature..after the last one before this the average temperature jumped 18f over a 10 year span.. and we are technically at the end of an ice age now..all according to scientists.. it's a natural occurrence.. feel free to fact check me.
