@christinatheceo: Commingling almost never starts with carelessness. It starts with speed. Something breaks, a client needs something today, and the card in your hand is the card you use. Then it is a year later and nobody could sort your statement into two piles. Here is a five day reset that is fast enough that you will actually do it. Day one, pick the account that is business only, do not overthink it, just pick. Day two, move recurring business charges onto it, the software and subscriptions that auto charge every month, because those are what keep pulling you back into the mixed pile. Day three, move the personal card out of your wallet so reaching for it takes one extra second. Day four, write down every business expense you covered out of pocket this month. Day five, reimburse yourself from the business account so the trail shows exactly what happened instead of looking like money vanished. You are not fixing last year.
