I got shouted at for wearing gloves to remove an iv, the CI said "no need for gloves for these things,youre too slow!" then she goes removing the pt's iv w/o gloves (it ws my very first time and I was just doing what I was taught in my return demos at school🤷♀️)

i was treated so badly by nurses in the PICU as a new grad, they made me feel stupid and incompetent when asking questions. 🥲 i went home crying everyday for like 6 weeks & ended up transferring units lol

My instructor was an asshole. He picked on me and thought I was incompetent the whole entire time when I was there to learn. He got mad at me for not knowing how to place a foley cath, (mind you this is my first time) like uh HELLO you’re suppose to teach me and guide me 😂😂 He eventually snatched the foley out of my hands with non-sterile gloves and shoved it into the patient. This is the type of nurse I will NOT be that’s forsure.
