It’s def physically rough at times so make sure you have good shoes!! Money isn’t all that tbh but it’s not about the money it’s the compassion for those you serve and protect(advocacy) but it’s fun to learn all this medical stuff during classes! It goes by quick. The biggest one is Common sense!! It helps to have that so you don’t make stupid mistakes when caring for your patients. I regret my hours and pay but I need it as i am in nursing school. Don’t go too crazy with buying unnecessary things you don’t get to use them outside of class such as CNA badges at least at my job they just want your badge on it and nothing else plus I bought the wrong one lol 😅goodluck in school!!

CNA’s make the best nurses , it’s not easy but it shows you so much there are days your going to want to give up and don’t , your going to meet many different kinds of people and hear there stories it isn’t always easy but it’s worth being able to be there for people and make there day better .

The CNA rule as the eyes and ears of a doctor or a nurse. We see everything. Were the people that get familiar with our residence and understand them and know when something is wrong to speak up I think CNA is an essential role before getting your RN. Everyone should probably know how to care for the resident/patient. And honestly, it builds a lot of patience and respect for the field. And it lets you know where your limits are. I think the hardest part for me are when I’m already overstimulated and more and more just keeps happening. It can be a lot mentally at times because you’re taking care of other people all day long that after a while I found that I kind of forgot how to take care of myself, I’ve had to remember to give myself love when I get home after work. It’s like someone who cooks all day, if I was a chef and I cooked all day, I wouldn’t wanna cook dinner when I get home. I think my favorite part about it is that I get to be that hands-on care. I hear all the stories I know who my patient/resident was as a person, I get to share such a special bond with whoever I’m caring for. I’m a CNA in a long-term care so I’m not in a hospital, my resident stay pretty consistent, and I’d like to say that I would take a bullet for one of them. They are genuinely the sweetest souls and all my hardest days. All I wanna do is go get a hug from them, and the best part is within that same day I wanted to hug they could make me so overstimulated that I just wanna go home. But the next morning when I wake up, I wanna be back because I know that I genuinely care for them. I will say this to anyone, if you are not a compassionate caring human being who genuinely wants to be in the medical field and feels it in their soul, it’s just not for you. You have to really want it to do it, right.

Oh to answer the questions CNAs always make best nurses but it’s sometimes nurses without it but nowadays a lot of places want nursing students to have their CNA. Hardest is when they are actively dying, the best part is when their faces brighten up because you’re working. I also recommended for my friend to join as a CNA she started at one of those jobs that give you free CNA classes and I believe they pay for the test :)
