This is SUCH a good analysis oh my lord I’m infatuated. This is kind of a loose connection, but since Manhunters can’t be detected by regular tech, unlike other aliens, I feel like that’s not only a literal testament to how much better at assimilating they are, but a metaphorical one, too. I mean, you quite literally have to rip out their heart to prove they’re alien. They understand the HEART of human societies, and how to manipulate them, whereas other aliens act alien in all ways. Kind of makes me wonder if they’re going to use that lens to discuss topics of immigration, how just because you’re not from a place originally, doesn’t mean you aren’t as valuable to its culture, yk?

that is a very interesting take. W post! As far as the Guardian some suggest she may be one of the Guardians that went crazy. some name a specific mad guardian but i didn't read the comics and dont remeber the name

The only thing I’d push back on is I thought they gave John a hard time at the gun store because he was linked with Hal, not because he was black but I could’ve missed it. The rest is fascinating and I appreciate you laying out so easy to follow
