Think of the implications of the Thor bit: Doom is so smart, he knows he needs the Odin Force but it can’t be picked up like a cube or an axe. He beats Thor so bad and the stopping of the axe with two fingers is on purpose; to make Thor feel so weak he knows he needs infinitely more power to deal with Doom. Not excitied. It’s the same high level story as infinity war and endgame….Film 1: villain succeeds and fundamentally changes existence. Film 2: a small surviving group discovers the workaround, retrieves the lost heroes, reunites the Avengers, big final confrontation, reality repaired.
