@cheeseballchick: One year ago today, I was in the OR getting outfitted with five titanium plates and 40 screws, trying to bring my sternum together after it refused to heal following open-heart surgery. ❤️‍🩹 Little did I know I would end up back in the OR for another surgery just over a month later. 😬 If you had told me then that one year later I would have gotten the call back from American Ninja Warrior and would be back in the gym training and feeling stronger than ever, I’m not sure I would have believed you. But here we are. ❤️ So incredibly grateful to God who brought me through, to the friends and family who prayed, helped, encouraged, and cheered me on, and to my Ninjas United family who never stopped believing I’d be back. And now I get the opportunity to compete alongside Andreas Johnson, a true legend who could seriously WIN. IT. ALL. 🔥 What a difference a year can make.
