another pro tip: dog training! every time i have to correct their behavior, i click my pen. eventually just the sound of a pen clicking will make them stop & think about what they've done. then you continue the pen clicking even when they've done nothing bad 😃

Go to a coworker & ask them if they’ve noticed his shoes. Maybe compliment them to the coworker. See if you can get the coworker to point to the shoes in front of the hated one. Then hated one will think other people are talking about the shoes too. Insecurity deepens!
