I’M 56 AND I STOPPED DOING THESE 5 THINGS AFTER 50. And I wish someone had told me this sooner. 👇 I spent years thinking staying young meant doing MORE. More cardio. More dieting. More expensive skincare. More pushing through exhaustion. After 50, I started doing the opposite. ❌ 1. I stopped eating LESS to stay thin. Now I prioritize protein at every meal. Maintaining muscle became more important to me than chasing a smaller number on the scale. ❌ 2. I stopped doing endless cardio. I still walk and get my heart rate up, but strength training became non-negotiable. I want muscle on my body as I get older — not just a lower body weight. ❌ 3. I stopped starting my morning with only coffee. Water first. Food. Sunlight. THEN matcha. My mornings feel completely different when caffeine isn’t the first thing my body gets. ❌ 4. I stopped treating sleep like wasted time. 7–8 hours isn’t being lazy. It’s recovery. I protect my sleep now the same way I protect my workouts. ❌ 5. I stopped waiting until I felt “old” to care about aging. This was the biggest one. I started paying attention to the things that naturally change with age — especially muscle, recovery, skin and cellular energy. That’s also why NAD became part of my morning routine. 🧬 NAD⁺ is a molecule your body naturally uses in cellular energy metabolism and other cellular processes, and NAD⁺ levels can change with age. I don’t take it because I’m trying to be 25 again. I take care of myself because I want 70-year-old me to thank 56-year-old me. That mindset changed everything. ✨ The NAD I use is linked in my bio or Comment “GLOW” and I’ll send you a link to the one I recommend. 💌 And send this to the woman who keeps saying, “I guess this is just what happens when you get older.” #womenover50 #over50fitness #healthyaging #ageless #NAD
