man idk but as a 3rd year PT student on my first full time clinical rn i can absolutely attest to the plantar heel pain from the increase in prolonged standing… 😔💔

32 years in the biz—you’re so right about this. Teachers, hairdressers and pharmacists seem to be my top contenders of heel/pf pain

I am a PT student and I did my long term rotation in an outpatient clinic in January and I saw a lot of patients with back and shoulder pain after thanksgiving and Christmas from cooking dinner, decorating the house, stress from hosting and cleaning after celebrating hahahahah that’s another trend that I noticed

I have a influx of 10-16 year old athletes who had some sort of growth spurt, either height or hip width, and there’s all sorts of knee/hip/ankle pain bc their body mechanics/strength hasn’t adapted to the change! seriously, I have like 15 patients a week that fit this

I’ve only had a couple cases like this (I’m early on in my career though), but the large dip in activity to standing all day makes so much sense!!
