i watched my dads cat once and she got sick but instead of just getting sick on ground level as a normal cat might do - she decided to climb his kitchen rafters and vomit from above. it all happened so fast that i was stuck in a corner of the kitchen cowering while cat vomit rained down. traumatizing

Nobody that owns a cat is the least bit surprised. One of my cats used to climb the cat tree and actively TRY to puke on my other cat sitting at the bottom. Bonus points if she nailed the dog.
