Government forces say they have taken control of the remaining rural areas of Hays district in Hodeidah and expanded operations toward Al-Jarrahi. Available credible reports do not confirm claims that the Houthis captured Hays city. On the contrary, reports indicate that Hays city was already under government control. The Houthis continue to control Sanaa and large, densely populated areas of northwestern Yemen.
