I’m 30 years old and I’m not afraid to admit that... I’ve been putting off building my own personal brand for years. Well, I built one by accident once but because I didn’t realise I’m actually building a personal brand I let it die out 🙃 Not because I don’t believe in it. I do. More than anything. It’s more that... I’d look around and think - okay but what have I actually done that’s worth talking about? Like, I’m not out here launching big things and making announcements. I’m just living and almost making it up as I go. And somehow that never felt like enough to shout about. But funny thing is that people around me have always come to me for this stuff. What to post. How to position themselves. How to stop shrinking and just show up. I’d sit with someone for an hour and they’d leave with this whole new energy, like something clicked for them. 🎯 And then I’d go home and carry on with “yeah I’ll do that for myself too soon”.. I kept waiting to have done more. To feel ready. But as you know - ready is not a feeling, it’s a process. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻 I moved to a different country at 19. By myself. No job, no savings, no plan. Just got on a plane and figured it would somehow work out. Delusional? Yeahhh a bit haha But somehow, it actually did work out! When on maternity leave, the egotistical Latvian in me didn’t want pay £100 for my baby shower balloons. So what did I do? I bought a £13 kit on Amazon and did it myself. And accidentally I turned that into my full time business. Never took a class. Never had a strategy. Just did it. That worked out too. Every single time I’ve thrown myself into something without knowing what I was doing - it’s turned into something big and great ✨ And yet the one thing I keep dragging my feet on is this. Telling my own story. Showing up for myself the way I show up for everyone else. And the silly thing is, is that I have done my research.. So I guess, this is me starting.. If you’ve ever been the person everyone comes to, but somehow you can’t apply all of that to yourself - I hear you! Come on the journey with me and follow along 🙌🏼
