Cooking my favorite #potato dish in honor of our beloved #dollyparton #dauphinoise Ingredients 3 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4” thick 2 cups milk 2 cups heavy cream 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard 5 cloves garlic, chopped 1 teaspoon thyme 2 bay leaves 2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded Directions In a large pot add all of your ingredients besides the Gruyere cheese. Place pot on stove and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, cook for 5-8 minutes until potatoes are jusy fork tender. Butter a 9x13” dish and using a slotted spoon, add halt of the potatoes. Top with half the Gruyere cheese and then the rest of the potatoes. Pour 2 cups of heavy cream/milk mixture that the potatoes were cooked in. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated 350°f oven for 40-45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is browned. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
