@common.entertainment: When rescued baby elephant Ebuntu, also affectionately nicknamed ‘Ellie’, became seriously ill, he was rejected by his herd.🥺 He was rescued by the Thula Thula Rhino orphanage, who discovered that he was severely unwell and showing signs of emotional distress. They gave him 24-hour intensive care. While they managed to bring him some stability, his emotional wellbeing still suffered due to being detached from his herd, he was depressed.❤️‍🩹 Then he met Duma, a German Shepherd. 🐘🐕 The unlikely pair quickly became inseparable, spending their days playing, walking and resting side by side. Caregivers soon noticed a remarkable change in Ebuntu. He became more active, curious and engaged, seemingly finding comfort and companionship in his new best friend. While the two animals have totally different behaviours, their friendship goes beyond that and has given him a new lease of life. ❤️ He will eventually be re-introduced into a herd, or placed with other orhpaned elephants also seeking a family 🥹🥰 - 🎥: Earth Touch
