@jacqueslees: HS26 / HS32 Railway Bolt (Clip Bolt, T-Head Hook Bolt) / Bolt A bolt is a mechanical component—a cylindrical, externally threaded fastener used together with a nut. A bolt consists of two parts: a head and a shank (a cylinder with external threads). It must be used in conjunction with a nut to fasten two parts having through-holes. This form of connection is called a bolted connection. Since the two parts can be separated again by unscrewing the nut from the bolt, a bolted connection is a detachable (removable) connection. HS26/HS32 clip bolts are used to connect the base plate (ribbed tie plate) and the rail clamp together with nuts and washers. They are available in two versions: with square neck (anti-rotation) or without neck. Manufactured to UIC 864-2, in material grades Q235, 35# and 45# steel, property classes 4.6, 5.6 and 8.8, with plain (oiled) or black painted finish.
