whether you think she should go to jail or not it is illegal to express reasonable doubt but not act on it, the problem is also it is relatively easy to find reasonable doubt, which is a problem in the courts. you could see how someone could make the decision that there is a little bit of reasonable doubt but not enough for them to want to act on it.
