Now, does that really warrant such a significant increase in their pay? Did the government consider the optics of raising salaries that are already at obscene levels, especially at a time like this? There are fresh grads struggling to find jobs, NSFs barely getting by and your answer to the cost of living crisis for the average citizen is to raise the pay of of people in public service who are already living comfortably?
