@australiasnorthwest: Planning to drive the Gibb River Road? Start here. 👇 Stretching 660 kilometres between Derby and Kununurra, the Gibb River Road takes travellers through ancient ranges, freshwater gorges, working stations and some of the Kimberley’s most recognisable landscapes. Allow 7-14 days to experience the major stops, including Bandilngan (Windjana Gorge), Dimalurru (Tunnel Creek), Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge), Manning Gorge, the Mitchell Plateau, El Questro and plenty of worthwhile detours in between. Swipe through for an overview of the route, then follow the link in bio for the complete self-drive itinerary, accommodation options and places to stop along the way. ℹ️ Top travel tip: The Gibb is generally accessible between April and October, but opening dates and road conditions are weather dependent. Contact the Derby, Broome or Kununurra Visitor Centre before travelling, confirm fuel availability and check each park, station and campground directly. Phone reception is limited, so download maps and booking details before leaving town. Save this for your Kimberley plans and send it to someone who would take on the Gibb with you. 📸 @loopinalux, @cjmaddock , @elquestro, @tourismwesternaustralia 📍Gibb River Road, in the #MagicKimberley region of #AustraliasNorthWest #WAtheDreamState #GibbRiverRoad #TheKimberley
