@itsannalay: “It’s so boring here!” Growing up in Sydney, I never understood why anyone would want to visit here. Yet, when I travelled overseas I appreciated everything I saw. Why is it so easy for me to see the beauty in other cities, but not my own? I think I saw my city through the lens of my own life. I saw the routines, commitments, and I felt the weight of my responsibilities. Recently, I tried using my days off to be a tourist in my own city. It’s still the city with the *best* sunrises and sunsets. Where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, and try food from any culture. There’s so much freedom and beauty that I often take for granted.
