@hungrypenanglang: THE OTHER AIR ITAM LAKSA YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT I’ve heard about 2828 Asam Laksa in Air Itam for quite some time—but somehow, I had never tried it until now. And honestly? I like it. The broth has a satisfying balance of sourness and spice, with generous chunk of fish that you can actually bite into. Add a spoonful of hae ko, and it is just right for my taste buds. 2828 has been around for years, but it is probably overshadowed by Air Itam’s famous old laksa stall, located just about 100 metres down the road. Take note: this is not the laksa stall beside the market or the one inside the food court. You’ll find it at the row of shops nearer to the junction leading towards Kek Lok Si Temple. After a piping-hot bowl of laksa, you can cool down with ais kacang, cendol or even a fresh whole coconut. Well, I now have one more laksa spot to return to in Air Itam.
