The beloved Greek singer passed away in Athens on Wednesday, 9 September, after suffering a cardiac arrest. Mazonakis was at a private medical practice in Kolonaki when he went into cardiac arrest. He was rushed by ambulance to Elpis Hospital, arriving without a pulse or spontaneous breathing. Despite prolonged attempts by doctors to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding his death are now being investigated by Greek authorities, with reports that he may have been undergoing a medical procedure at the time. The precise cause of his death is expected to be established following a forensic examination.
