Join us for our annual New Year’s Eve Sunrise Hike as we reflect on the year behind us, celebrate everything we’ve accomplished, and welcome the new year together. Just like every year, we’ll raise a glass of sparkling cider at the summit, share a few words, take our annual group photo, and say goodbye to 2026 before heading back down the mountain. HIKE DETAILS • Thursday, December 31, 2026 • Meet: 4:45 AM • Circle Up: 5:00 AM SHARP • Hike begins immediately after • Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round Parking Lot #1 • Approximately 6 miles round trip • Fast to moderate pace • Finish around 7:45–8:00 AM PLEASE BRING • Headlamp or flashlight • At least 1–2 liters of water • Hiking shoes with good traction • A jacket (it can be cold before sunrise) • Any personal snacks or medications you may need GOOD TO KNOW • This is NOT a beginner hike. Please arrive prepared to maintain the group’s pace. • Dogs are welcome if they are leashed, well-behaved, and comfortable around people and other dogs. • We stay together, respect the trail, leave no trace, and look out for one another.
