Parents behavior is reflected on their children. IT IS NOT THE TEACHERS JOB TO EDUCATE BOUNDARIES, RESPECT OR MANNERS!!!!

I mean, teachers do need to consider their own abilities in the equation.

I never had teacher/ parent meetings….. I just wrote the misbehaving kids up or sent them to the office or in school suspension if they were too unruly. Then they get expelled if they go too far 🤷♀️

Unless a parent IS a TEACHER or they COME IN for a day. They don’t know what it’s like in the classroom working with 27+ kids or even less. I want to see them try to quiet a class down, get them focused, and keep them on task.

These are the same parents who complain about not being called for a meeting when things get even worse.

If a child tells me to shut up they're out of my classroom extremely rapidly.

Teachers don’t give up on the child, it’s parents who think they can act like this towards the EDUCATORS and expect them to DISCIPLINE/CONTROL. If they come with attitude and not hearing the issue at hand, they’re 100% the problem. Kids pick up on behavior from parents and think it’s okay. For those who say it’s the teachers, let it be a reminder, everything starts in the home. I firmly believe in not mincing words when it comes to situations like this, because parents will choose to dump their inconsistency onto the teachers and blame them for not “teaching” their children.
