@arcticseatours: The humpback party is on at Hjalteyri. Every year, humpback whales gather to feed in different parts of Eyjafjörður. The location and timing may change, but very often during August and early September, the party takes place close to Hjalteyri. Right now, around ten humpback whales are feeding in the area. Our fish finder shows why: there is plenty of food beneath the surface. We always check the area, and sometimes we find as many as seven humpbacks close to the boat.
