@at_taywani: Everyone loves to be translation police, especially with the word Allah. What they don’t understand is that translation is never just about language but constraints. What environment are you in? What words are available to you? What will people misunderstand if you use a foreign word vs. a local word? That’s why Han Kitab happened. In the 16th-17th century, Chinese Muslims in Ming/Qing dynasty were under huge pressure to prove they were still Chinese. They couldn’t just say “Allah” and expect people to get it. So scholars like Wang Daiyu and Liu Zhi did something genius - they took words everyone already knew - 真 (true, authentic) + 主 (Lord, Master) - and combined them. 真主. The True Lord. It says La ilaha illallah without using one Arabic word. By saying TRUE Lord, you negate that all other lords are false. And they deliberately avoided using 佛 (Buddha) or 上帝/天主 which Christians use, to make it clear - this is not a foreign god, this is Rabb al-Alamin. And the most genius part: Even though 真 and 主 are common words, the combination 真主 is pretty much only used by Muslims in our times. Just like Allah in Arabic is understood by all Arabs, but you know it’s the Muslims who use it. But here’s the part I didn’t say in the video: Today, the very thing that made it genius - that only Muslims use it - is what makes it sensitive. In today’s environment, because 真主 is uniquely Muslim, the system can instantly recognize you as Muslim just from that one word. It’s searchable and flaggable. So now, 400 years after Han Kitab scholars chose this word to survive, Chinese Muslims in some places have to think about NOT using it to survive. They might be forced to find another word, because it’s too obviously Muslim. That’s why you can’t judge a translation without judging the environment it was born in.

Allah is just "God" in Arabic. anyone who shames people for calling the Muslim God anything but "Allah" lack a very important understanding of Islam.

In Malaysia, there is an inscription stone dating back to the 13th century known as "batu bersurat Terengganu" where Allah is referred to "Dewata Mulya Raya". (Lord, the most sacred, the most high).

This is one attribute of Allah. By saying "True/Authentic/Lord Master" you're describing Allah an attribute rather than calling him. When you start surah Fatiha, first ayah, what do you say? الْحَمْدُلِلّهِ (All praise to Allah) رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ(Lord of the worlds) Do you see the distinction?

Allah is the name that Allah Himself wants you to use. there is a reason the Quran is in old arabic. bc it is the most favored language of Allah. it is why there are arabic words in there that even we dont know the meaning of. because He created those words, not humans. calling Him by a name humans created IS insulting to Him. call Him by His name.

And the Allah (himself) in the Quran said that he has many names and attributes that people all have over the worlds call (him) with so don’t worry about uneducated people, we try to educate. People don’t use their brains in these days.👏👏 Be patient may Allah reward you here and in hear after. 🤍💚

I think it should be fine as long as they don’t change it in their prayers or Quran. Because we also use god word or alternative of that word ( god ) in other languages.

please ead surah al-ikhlas. where ALLAH said "Says Him, Alllah the Only One". ALLAH, is not just a genaral word to called a god in Arabic. ALLAH is the god name we should called upon him, to identify Him. Just like your paren give you a a name to identify you. the wheen your friend called nickname to gamiliar with you. that how ALLAH give name to Himself to be idnetify. you can also called him ar-rab (the lord) or al-maalik (the king of all kingdom in heaven and earth). So ALLAH is a specual name for muslim god. 😅

Yes, Allah will understand no matter how refer to His name. Some called Him as "Tuhan", some called Him as "Lord" and the Chinese called him as "Zhen Zhu". All but one is Allah, no God but only Him.
