6) Parents must not be scammed to think more unconnected children will definitely be admitted. Increasing Phase 2C allocation from 40 to 60, does NOT guarantee more unconnected children are admitted. More children from affiliated families are failing in their priority phases, and MOE is allowing them more chances to reapply in Phase 2C. With newest changes, it is possible LESS (or even zero) unconnected children are admitted.

@Ministry of Education (MOE) In doing so, it will cause those of us who want to send our child to a nearby school to be potentially allocated to a school that’s further, which doesn’t make sense. A young child shouldn’t have to wake up so early to travel to school when we already live nearby. I don’t know how this makes it more pleasant for the child and parents to have to travel further when there’s a school nearby.
