I had the same thing, was on ssri first then jumped on snri duloxetine specifically for 7 years its great compared to others, but 2 years ago tried to quit and had a psychosis and became suicidal and ended in a hospital. Duloxetine is one the hardest to get off and the withdrawals a crazy. If you haven’t started yet speak to her about venlafaxine if you really want to go with snri, though it has bad withdrawals as well. But my experience high dose beta blockers are a better option as it doesn’t have all the side effects imo.

I broke out in hives after stopping SSRIs. It was terrible. My psychiatrist told me it was because the SSRI I was taking had antihistamine properties so she suggested I take regular antihistamines daily and so far I’ve been better 🥰

Hives is a histamine response. Could be cortisol/adrenal spike which antidepressants can impact. Any noticeable change in anxiety?

Psych RN here 🙋🏼‍♀️You need to go to your GP tomorrow. I’m not trying to scare you but this is potentially the beginnings of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. It is rare with SNRI’s but can absolutely occur. Feel free to message me if you want to talk privately.

I’ve been on aglomelatine for 6 years now. Life changing. It’s not an SSRI. I couldn’t recommend it more.
