@chinaembassyinmaldives: HK astronaut: When we pass over China, I look for the Greater Bay Area When China's Shenzhou-23 crew held a special "Tiangong Class" space lecture on Wednesday for students in the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions (SAR), one teacher had a unique connection to her audience. Li Jiaying (also known as Lai Ka-ying), Hong Kong SAR's first payload specialist, beamed into her own alma mater, Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College. There, more than 200 primary and secondary students watched live, joined by many more across the two regions. Alongside crewmates Zhu Yangzhu and Zhang Zhiyuan, Li gave students a tour of her sleeping quarters, complete with family photos, her children's drawings, miniature Hong Kong street snack models, and a grape plush toy from her former colleague. A touching moment came as she described gazing at Earth below. "When we pass over China, I'll look for where the Greater Bay Area is," she said.
