interest paid on car payment, cell phone, chargers, containers bought for services, notebooks for book keeping ect. anything you use for your buisness is also a write off.

I downloaded Stride. That tracks my miles while I'm dashing.

I'm going to call my CPA because I have never heard of having to file quarterly. I've always filed at the beginning of the year a 1099. and in January or late December doordash sends you your mileage and your earned income for the previous year.

I only dash about 10-15 hrs a week, so I don't worry about paying taxes quarterly. That's why I was asking. With the zero tax on tips, I don't have a ton of taxable income with gig apps. For someone who works only part time, usually it is okay to wait til tax season but if you work full time, I'd pay quarterly so you don't owe a bunch at the end of the year you aren't prepared for.

I pay one yearly tax and my mileage normally covers it so I barely owe anything… never heard of quarterly taxes -.-

I just started doing DoorDash towards the end of quarter 2 and I didn’t make enough in quarter 2 to pay taxes on it so do I now just pay my taxes for quarter two and three by the 15th?

Just remember as well to ask for a statement that shows your tips only as well as regular income statement that you get. Instead of having to pay about $1800 I only had to pay under $200 for this past year.

I track my miles in stride as soon as I get an order and as soon as I stop dashing. I then add in my income on stride.

You don’t HAVE to pay quarterly taxes. You can pay them at the beginning of the year when you usually would
