Mombasa has a different culture…if you follow Nairobi rules you’ll be frustrated…Once you get the culture..you’ll be okay…e.g 1. Mombasa doesn’t have Nairobi urgency….2. msa Advertising never works .Coasterians are people of habit…they’ll show up at your new Shop first few months and go back to what’s familiar to them unless you figure out a way to make them change….also if you contract casuals and bring Nairobi energy of”nyinyi hamjui” they will frustrate you😂..

So true and there’s no cashflow kabisa. I run a skincare business and a lady came ,inquired for the price. 2500ksh for a product naambiwa ati ni product ama dhahabu. Do you even know the price of gold? People are rude for no reason and it’s tiring

There was guy "Abdallah" a reel maker, was approached by my boss to do Short reels for SM, We literally had to call him and he kept on missing appointments, when you ask, answers were "nilikuwa ninthoka, napumzika" ..."mamangu alikuwa mgonjwa"..."honda langu ilikuwa imeharibika"....we stopped follow up and brough a guy from Nairobi.

I have a business in both Mombasa and Nairobi. Doing business in Mombasa is very difficult idk if it's low purchasing power but it is extremely difficult.
