There’s an article that is widely popular thats called “school-to-prison pipeline” that basically describes how such strict rules like this in schools aren’t emotionally healthy and actually harmful to inner city students.

In charter middle school, they’re not as strict about those senseless things like sock colors, I can say attending one gave me a type of structure I needed. However, charter high is where I cut the line. They get stricter bc they don’t know how else to gain ‘control’

Yes the rules may be a bit much but the kids are learning & behaving 😭 parents aren’t parenting anymore, I think this is more for them. The parents need to take accountability too!
