I was an "atheist" for DECADES and said the same ignorant shit, plus worse. Looking back, I'm humiliated by the words that came out of my mouth, and the level of absurd confidence I had while saying them. Unreal. I also came to the same wager conclusion! "Hey God, I've messed myself up pretty bad. I clearly can't be trusted with my life and since it can't get worse, can I just give it to you? I've relentlessly enforced my own will on life and it's now on fire, so what if I relentlessly follow what God tells me instead?" Way harder, but I've always insisted on the difficult path 😂😂😂

I think God does favor us for following him and he says it. people confuse what love means, love means he’ll never give up on us not that he loves everything we do. And it makes perfect sense like if a friend is talking shit you’re not gonna favor them, so why would God favor you if you talking crap and not believing.
