What confuses me is how they are hating on Kirby as if Nintendo directly develops the games. Kirby is a second party franchise similar to Pokemon, so it’s not like a whole Mario game was dropped to develop the new Kirby game 😭

Not trashing on Mario or Smash Bros but I knew that the leaks on twitter were fake. I knew in my gut that there’s no way that there’s a 3d Mario and a new Smash Bros game in the same direct considering that DK Bananza came out not that long ago but I’m glad that Kirby got a mainline game anyway

Another point is that HAL Laboratory works solely on Kirby now, unless a Smash game is really in the works. Nintendo doesn't produce the games, they just publish them. Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, Fire Emblem, Metroid, etc. are all produced within Nintendo, so it's easier for Kirby to get games more often, since it's produced from another studio.

As someone who loves Mario games I really couldn’t care less that Mario didn’t get a new mainline game. I can’t wait to see what the plot for the new game will be as someone who loved playing Kirby ever since I was a kid🥹🥹
