I was allowed to have my phone during jury duty but it had to be turned off during court and the deliberations. You could turn it on during lunch break. I mean, people are allowed to check in with their families etc. But scrolling during deliberations? 😳 Completely unacceptable.

When I was on a jury, they collected all of our phones when we were in the deliberation room. Gave them back during breaks and at the end of the day.
