Not the whole thing of course (let's be realistic), but small pieces of it that build lasting confidence: Picking out their outfit (you can lay out a few options) Putting on their own shoes Zipping up their backpack Placing their lunchbox by the door Start with one step at a time and build from there. The best part is that toddlers are eager to do things by themselves — they just aren't always the best at it. It's okay to let them struggle a little! One step at a time, this is how independent, confident children are raised.
