I’d be filing charges for fraud then going no contact. This is abusive and theft.

Normalize sueing your parents. This is crazy. I have kids and never in my life would I ever put their credit etc at risk because of my fuck up or hardship.

Call the police. Save the text messages. Save everything you have. Ask the collection agency/original creditors for copies of the documents with your “signature”. Press charges. Your parents do not love you, do not accept the apologies. Block them now. Get that money back sis.

Im in my 40s, my bio mom is still doing this. I haven't seen her in years. Make a police report cause it will continue to happen.

Girl, if you aren’t filing a police report, I don’t wanna hear about it. Biggest pet peeve in the world: people complaining when the answer to all their problems is right in front of them.

I would file charges asap against them. It’s the only way to relieve yourself of this debt. Your parents are disgusting, I cannot imagine even considering doing this to my children. I would not let them pay it either. Because even if it gets paid off, it will stay on your credit report as collections.

Identity theft. My ex brother in law tried to do this to my nephew (his son). My sister managed to talk him out of it.

This is not normal behavior. I was a single Mom working 3 jobs to keep bills paid. I drove a 25 year old car and washed our clothes in the tub. Don’t let them gaslight you. I would take them to court to get that out of your name. This absolutely is not ok.

Call the creditor and let them know you didn’t authorize this, it wasn’t you. Tell them who did it and they will remove it from your credit and go after your parents. You might have to file a police report but that’s fraud.
