But this is enabling abusive men. Many mothers (like myself) flee abuse during pregnancy and don’t put on the birth certificate to protect our children. When these abusers are being told they have rights and the system enables them just because they’re the dad - many children continue to be harmed because the system prioritises contact above protection of children

He has point blank refused to have anything to do with my unborn daughter- he will not be named on bc as most likely would not attend anyways and we are unmarried. Can he still apply in future?

maybe dads are not put on it coz some of them have a habitat of abusing the parental responsibility to control the mothers a tactic of abuse which I see happen a lot Court should be checking that out first before handing it over regardless of being biological dad

You are referring to unmarried couples, when parents are married fathers name not being on BC is irrelevant

My kids dad threatened court left right and centre literally before my child was even born. He even threatened to take me court for his parents when he was having contact and i agreed to contact. When i told him to just do it cuz I’m not being threatened with court 24/7, he didn’t bother. He’s been told how to go to court and get on the bc and get contact but would rather play the she won’t let me see my kid card🤣
