Otokiti Imuetinyan Calvin :
This is increasingly becoming the reality of the world we live in, yet so many of us are still not fully awake to what is happening around us. Technology, artificial intelligence, social systems, and the constant flow of information are transforming our lives at an unprecedented pace.
While these developments can bring progress and convenience, we also have to ask ourselves an important question: At what point do we stop being in control and start allowing the systems we created to control us?
Little by little, we are becoming more dependent on technology, more influenced by algorithms, and more comfortable surrendering our privacy, decisions, and even our attention to systems we barely understand. The shift may not happen overnight, but gradually, almost unnoticed.
We need to become more conscious, informed, and intentional about the direction society is heading. Progress is not the problem; losing our ability to question, choose, and remain in control is. The sooner we wake up and start paying attention, the better prepared we will be for the future that is already unfolding.
