I got rejected by the endocrinologist with a referral because my A1C is 5.3 and I don’t have any complications as a type 1. Kinda feels like I’m being punished for taking care of myself.

As an Endo NP, seeing all the comments about just coming to get refills makes me a little sad. Most of us want to see you succeed and live long healthy lives. We want to help you know all of your options and all the new technology that’s coming out at any given time. I love learning from my patients, a textbook and articles only teach so much. Some of us are good and try ❤️

I stopped going and just go to a primary care dr and they send in my insulin. They basically are just like yep you're still diabetic and it's pointless

It’s an actual joke every time I take my son. They should only let T1Ds become endos because they are absolutely useless and have caused my son more distress than anything with their micromanaging 🤦♀️
