Hey ...Uh.... Safety Guy here ! its not a violation depending on the company because they have to be able to see manufacturers info ! when I train ppl at my site I actually have to give them a sticker showing they are sight specific trained !

the actual hardhat only has a 5 year life span before being replaced a sticker not hurting that hat in 5 years

It is not a violation however, if you have stickers on both sides of the helmet and it makes it difficult for an inspector to check to see if you have a cracked helmet then it becomes a violation. So put as many stickers you want on just make sure you don’t do it on the inside so your helmet can be checked.

I worked out on the plant for several years. Everybody had stickers on their helmet such as forklift, certified picker, certified supervisor the company name I guess we’re all in violation

safety here, technically osha doesnt say that, what they say is if its against manufacturer or cant do an inspection then not to but osha doesnt directly say you cant lol

Yet most industrial sites and general contractors make you put a sticker on your hardhat so they know you have site training.

our safety guy tried to tell us the glue from the sticker softens the hard hat shell. we'll he did actually tell us, we just ignore him.🤔 one of the stupidest things I've heard.
