😂 Yes. Metal shavings can be nasty. It’s a learning thing! Some sharpening machines have blades for specific knives. Japanese or European. My knives are Japanese and I use Japanese sharpening blade thing.

Great follow-up to let us know about the safe & right way to use it! True I always cleaned mine after sharpening & noticed the metal pieces! I bought a sanding block so need to try that! Be safe!😉👍🏻
