Played around with hornresp till I got an acceptable response curve, then built the box. Sub needed placed a little further down the line but this placement of it let me keep my spare tire. Built it for a cheap $100 phoenix gold 10” sub on 400watts and sounds great for a budget system.

I built a T line for a 10” kicker sub back in 1991. I pushed it with an alpine 3555 rear two channels bridged and the front two channels running my Boston acoustic 6.5” 2 way components in a 1990 Honda civic hatchback. No one was doing a box like that back then. It sounded so clean. Loved riding and listening back then

Absolutely need to stay away from that goofy formula ! So many people have wasted wood and had a bad experience from that ‘idea’ the social media apps parrot endlessly like a religion 🥲

no thanks :
I typically do 35-50% of overall sd. Obviously not correct but it’s yielded fair results. Metered a 146 at 20 with 3 8s.

if it's a flared horn box the port exit has to be bigger than the SD of the sub. the boxes are huge but it doesn't necessarily means the tuning will be high.

You also might wanna put the subwoofer at the 1/3 part of the line. Something else to know you might want a tapered line you might wanna horn line depending upon the weight of the cone and how hard you wanted to hit at the tuning frequency if you wanted to hit really loud open up the line if you want to hit really soft at that point taper the line
